The GM Fundraising team is delighted to announce Gary Morton, Founder of GM Fundraising, was recently presented with an Award for Excellence. The national award was in recognition of the years of dedication and tireless fundraising Gary has orchestrated to raise what is now in excess of £1 million for Hope House Children’s Hospices, and almost £1.2 million in total.
“To be recognised in this way for something that has given me so much joy over the years was a complete shock. Along with the team, I have a genuine passion and love of what we do at GM Fundraising and feel a huge amount of gratitude to everyone who has supported us over the years,” explains Gary. “From the very first Gala Dinner held in 1995 which raised £16,761 we really haven’t looked back.
“We give our time freely and are committed to delivering the highest quality events, whilst ensuring that every penny raised, reaches the children and families at Hope House. To be honest, there can be no more rewarding activity than supporting this charity whilst having a good time and the GM Fundraising team remain dedicated to putting ‘fun’ into their fundraising efforts.
“Our relationship with Hope House over some 13 years is very important to us all. There have been moments of hardship and heartache along the way, but it has mostly been a massive amount of fun. I feel proud of what the team has achieved over the years and hope that we can continue to raise funds for this immensely worthy cause long into the future.”
