• About me – I’m a big Wolves fan, play tennis, go to the gym and enjoy amateur dramatics.  I’ve directed a number of musical productions and taken the leading parts on stage.

I did the Poppy Ride last year but that is small fry compared to this! I started cycling 3 years ago – mainly mountain biking although I do find road cycling more sociable, and last year completed 2 London – Paris rides and in October 2015 I cycled from Cambodia to Vietnam.

I love a challenge!  I decided that between the ages of 50 and 60 I would do 1 major challenge each year.  Gary Morton was a competitor of mine and unfortunately a West Brom fan !! But I don’t hold that against him and have enormous respect for what he has done for this charity and I am only too happy to help out and raise as much as I can.

I fear the effects of the heat and boredom by day 8, but excited about seeing some fantastic parts of the world and making new friends along the way – the camaraderie will keep us going, along with the intense sunshine. Not looking forward to my laundry duties but the picture of my Grandson Lewis will keep me motivated
