The staff and associates at Brighouse based Quickslide have excelled themselves with a tremendous effort of raising over £5,000 for GM Fundraising through a variety of initiatives.
Quickslide Chairman and GM Fundraising Team Member Adrian Barraclough says: “At our Christmas party, we showed a heart rending video of where the money raised by GM Fundraising goes. Even though most of our staff are familiar with the Charity, they were still taken aback by the wonderful things both GM Fundraising and their chosen charity, Hope House Children’s Hospices, facilitate for children with life limiting conditions and their families. From there on the generosity was overwhelming.”
Quickslide also extended their thanks to their suppliers and many customers who donated the prizes.
In addition to this Quickslide also have a dress down Friday every month organized by Service co-ordinator Tracey Wilson which raises about £100 each time. They are also involved in many forthcoming GM Fundraising events in what is a busy year for the charity.
GM Fundraising Chairman Gary Morton commented: “We appreciate how tough it is to donate to charities in the current climate and when companies go out of their way to raise money for us, it really gives us a special feeling.”
Quickslide’s involvement with GM Fundraising and Hope House is far from finished. Adrian will be on their stand at the FIT show, riding with the Border 2 Border team in June from Canada to Mexico.
